Unfinished Business (2015), depicts a precarious arrangement of ink-painted renderings of mass-produced goods, such as a child’s chair, a 2 x 4 piece of lumber, a faux silver platter, a glass teacup, and a pile of bed pillows, balanced atop a Chinese worker's stool. In the mix are smudges and smoky abstractions which reference smoke, oil, and a sense of seepage - ephemeral interlopers revealing an instability in the hierarchy of comfort.
